Embargo Policy on Scientific Abstracts and Case Reports

Due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the ATS is amending its embargo policy on accepted scientific abstracts, as follows:

  1. The standard embargo prohibiting the dissemination of scientific data contained in accepted abstracts until after their presentation at the ATS International Conference is lifted. Institutions and individuals can release their abstract data now.
  2. Full abstracts, presenting authors and co-authors were published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine on May 1, 2020.
  3. Abstract authors are encouraged to submit ePosters for viewing at ATS 2020 Virtual. Click here for guidelines, submission instructions and templates.
  4. QR Codes: It is appropriate to include QR Codes on the ePoster that link the audience to the poster data or a printable poster pdf.  It is not acceptable to include QR Codes that link to an institution or company homepage.
  5. The ATS ePoster viewing site will not be available until August with the rest of the ATS 2020 Virtual materials.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This amended abstract policy applies only to abstracts submitted for the 2020 conference. Next year, ATS will revert to its standard embargo policy.
